I guess that may work, I haven't tried it. I have to do many, many examples of this kind, all about 1-8 measures long, with a combined graphic on top, printing the page and editing out is simply not worth the effort. For the moment I'll stick with TIFF export. PDFs would be slightly higher quality (for the notes at least), I guess.
Seems to be a bug. There are other bugs, too: Resizing images will not keep proportional, even when "fixed Percent" is ticked. Sometimes deleting an image and replacing it with another one will not stick.
