Hi, folks. Running Finale 2010 on Mac OSX 10.8.5. Been working on my first full-length opera, and the Act IV Finale (no pun intended) became, for want of a better word, corrupted.
When I try to play it, it takes several minutes to load. Since I'm one of those, 'try this, play it, don't like it, try that, play it' type of composers, that makes work on the file pretty odious. I tried to export the file to .xml, and it keeps giving the message 'Error while exporting MusicXML file [FILENAME] at part 22, measure 11." Since that's somewhere in the string section (it doesn't seem to go by staves), I tried deleting the entire string section, exported it, imported it, and I get a file that loads and plays immediately. Now I'm trying again with the original file, deleting strings section by section / measure by measure to try to delete the measures with the error. Is there any easier way to do this? Is there someone I could (gladly!) pay to take my original corrupted file and send my back an uncorrupted file? Any advice / suggestions deeply appreciated. Thanks and best, Mike _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] https://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale To unsubscribe from finale send a message to: [email protected]
