I am not quite sure what you really mean here, however: der Wettbewerb (masc.) die Wettbewerbsmusik (fem.) This is a composit noun (no adjectives in this word!) So it _does_ matter that Musik is feminine, it makes the composit feminine, too. To answer the original question: I think what you are looking for is das Pflichtstück. Back to hibernation...
