i use yKey as well for many years now
It's called yKey <https://plumamazing.com/product/ykey/> now and has been updated for 10.13. I replaced OX9 Quickeys with this. I believe there is now an OSX Quickeys, so it may be a better choice for you. But yKey does everything I need it to.
