Hi,
Here is, i.m.h.o, the best way to handle 'mid measure' clefs:
1) Create the clef: ctrl-double click on the measure, get 'Change Clef'
window, and choice 'Create a movable mid-measure clef';
2) Modify it: ctrl-click the handle of the clef you have just created,
and get 'Mid Measure Clef' window; edit the 'H', 'Orizontal offset' and
'V' values, as they fits your need.
Probably a little bit of work will be necessary, but that is the surest
way to get things as one want to be.

So, now there is the treble clef were it needs to be. And Finale adds bass
clefs in front and behind it. The one behind it comes with a handle, and
can be removed and one in front can not. Clearly, something is totally
messed up with the Clef Tool.

Whichever method I use to place a new clef, it appears without a
handle; therefore, it can not be placed in the middle of a measure.
