Hello Syrup Fans! Would you like to get first hand experience producing maple syrup? How would you like a discount on maple syrup this spring? January's Sapsquatch Community workday will be held this Sunday, 1/2 from 11pm - 4pm.
The Sapsquatch Sugar Bush is located at 2247 Mecklenburg Rd. (SR79) in Enfield, 8 miles from downtown Ithaca. Look for a big red barn just after you cross the bridge 1/2 mile from Enfield Corners. Pull into the first driveway and exit around the other side of the house. The sugar bush is located down the trail that runs east between the barn and the road down into the woods. The sugarshack is quickly filling up with firewood for this year boiling, but there is still more room. We will be continuing winter tasks such as cutting, chopping and stacking, closing in our new lounge and mudroom, and bucking up logs. Folks with chainsaws and/ or axes would be much appreciated!
