CORNBREAD FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT ITHACA COMMUNITY HARVEST

at the Great Downtown Ithaca Chili Cook-off, on the Ithaca Commons

What's more inviting than sunny yellow cornbread with your chili on a 
frosty day?  Your purchase of cornbread at this year's 
<http://www.downtownithaca.com/events/view/art-in-the-heart-2008.html>Great 
Downtown Ithaca Chili Cook-off isn't just delicious - it also will 
benefit the Ithaca Community Harvest.  Cornbread will be prepared by 
Chef Leslie Muhlhahn of <http://www.justdessertsithaca.com/>Just 
Desserts using <http://www.cporganics.com/live/>Cayuga Pure Organics 
cornmeal, and sold by <http://strength.org/ithaca/>Ithaca's Share Our 
Strength-Taste of the Nation Committee.

Ithaca Community Harvest is a collaborative effort of the Village at 
Ithaca with GreenStar Community Projects, the Ithaca City School 
District and local farms and in cooperation with 
<http://ccetompkins.org/g4h>Gardens4Humanity, Healthy Food For All 
and the <http://ccetompkins.org/wcp>Whole Community Project of 
Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County, and countless 
volunteers.  It connects students, staff and families from Beverly J. 
Martin Elementary School, Greater Ithaca Activities Center and 
Southside Community Center with locally grown fresh fruits and 
vegetables. Seed funding for Ithaca Community Harvest comes from 
United Way of Tompkins County's Basic Needs Fund and Hunger and Food 
Security Grant, a grant from Share our Strength made possible through 
their partnership with Weight Watchers.
