Thanks, Adam Michaelides Program Manager, Compost Education CCETC 2023 Master Composter Training Application Deadline: 1:59pm on Monday, January 30 MEETS: (10) Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:00pm, from February 9-May 4 (no class Feb 23, March 16, or April 6) Some training classes held in person; others held virtually over Zoom. In person classes will meet at CCETC, 615 Willow Ave unless otherwise noted. Help reduce waste, protect the environment, and improve gardens by teaching others to compost in Tompkins County! Join a group of enthusiastic trainees for 10 in-depth, weekly classes, and about 2 hours/week of practical learning outside of class. Classes cover a variety of compost and education topics that will prepare you to become a compost educator in Tompkins County. Time spent outside of class includes hands-on composting, teaching (or assisting) at classes, participating in field trips, researching compost topics, and designing an independent volunteer project. After training, use your new compost know-how and teaching experience to help others in the community. Training classes will be held every Thursday evening, 6:00 - 8:00pm, from February 9 to May 4. To accommodate school breaks (public & college), classes will not be held on February 23, March 16, or April 6.
