Greetings: We'd like to let you know about new workshops we are offering this season that may be of interest to you. We have been working on curriculum development for the past year and have been offering consistent classes in the Washington, DC area. We'd like to find more opportunities in the Northeastern US and beyond.
These workshops - Urban Food Gardening and Ecological Design & Community Building - are designed to address the challenges of urban environments while also taking advantage of the many resources cities and their residents, young and old, offer. Each workshop offers participants a unique learning experience that is hands-on and based in building real skills including gardening, composting, working with children in the garden, container and raised bed gardening, rainwater harvesting, design techniques, meeting curriculum standards through gardening, engaging community, and creating intergenerational programs. Classes are customized to fit the unique needs of a place and its people. We invite you to learn more by visiting www.WorkWithNature.net/urbangardeningclasses.htm and be in touch with any questions or inquiries. Please pass this information along to anyone who might be interested.
