This is (mostly) correct - fink will install gpg into /sw/bin/gpg , so long as /sw is the root of your fink installation tree. /sw is the default; I didn't know if that was the case for you, so I used "/fink/installed/gnupg" to represent the absolute path to where fink installs gpg on your machine. The reason you need to make this symlink, as I understand it, is that GPGMail looks for the gpg in /usr/local/bin/ explicitly, instead of (I don't know how they'd do this, so I haven't complained to the approp. people) looking in the user's $PATH to find a gpg executable. And yes, (I totally missed this) you should backup your keys before removing the gpg installed in /usr/local/bin.
