I have tried to fink install gnuplot . The process appeared to finish but did not seem to leave a gnuplot executable anywhere that I can find on my computer. Where is it?
I have some additional questions about this process. gnuplot is a relatively simple package. I almost succeeded in building it from the source posted at the web site http://www.gnuplot.vt.edu/ . However, I could not figure out how to link the fink X11 libraries into the compilation. So I decided to try the fink install. The command fink install gnuplot ran for about an hour on my ibook, installing an unexpectedly large number of packages, including a (superfluous) complete tetex distribution. Why? Thank you!
