Folks, I wanted to run gaim and installed it after having to update fink to 0.3.2a. The upgrade was not a pretty sight, but after I debugged the selfupdate then figured out I needed to (re)install the 10.1 Developer's Tools then the gaim build went fine. It's so nice to be able to get under the hood to figure out things... 8-)
In running gaim I notice the fink unstable version is 0.51-1 and the latest version in http://gaim.sourceforge.net is 0.53. There are some problems which I beleive are fixed in version 0.53. How does one go about causing the version in fink to be updated to the latest source code? In other words, how does one go about discovering who did the work to get gaim into fink in the first place and then see if the same folks would be willing to do an update? Perhaps what is really needed is a volunteer to do the work, so in that case who would be the right contact? Etc. etc. Regards, Joel Breazeale _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
