I am trying to use xfig but it does not respond to the keyboard. Mouse
events have their desired effects though. My computer is a titanium
powerbook with a German keyboard, and I am using the window manager
window maker. Other programs such as emacs 20.7 work fine. When I set
up a different user which uses the default monitor (no customization
whatsoever) xfig did respond to key strokes though they are interpreted
according to the American keyboard layout.

Another but minor nuisance is that on my computer color does not seem to
be supported with xfig (and probably any other x-application using the
-color files in /sw/etc/app-defaults/ (that's where XAPPLRESDIR points
to)). On the xfig homepage they say that one should put "*
customization: -color" into the .Xdefaults file. There was no such file
on my system and neither creating it in my home directory nor abusing
the .xinitrc file worked.

Thanks for any help,
Marcus
