The issue is that spice requires you to have a working Xwindows installation first. If you have XFree86 from some source other than fink, then you can go ahead and answer 1. If you have Xtools, answer 2. If you do have XFree86 from fink answer 3. If you don't have Xwindows at all, then you'll need to install it. A quick-and-dirty route is to download the following files:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/bindist/dists/fink-0.4.0/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/x11-system/xfree86-base_4.2.0-4_darwin-powerpc.deb http://fink.sourceforge.net/bindist/dists/fink-0.4.0/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/x11-system/xfree86-rootless_4.2.0-2_darwin-powerpc.deb by whatever means you've been using. Then, once you've rebooted to OSX, change to the folder where you downloaded the files and do the following commands: sudo dpkg -i xfree86-base_4.2.0-4_darwin-powerpc.deb sudo dpkg -i xfree86-rootless_4.2.0-2_darwin-powerpc.deb This way you don't have to download the xfree86 source and build it--you can if you prefer, though--the official URLs are: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fink/X420src-1.tgz http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fink/X420src-2.tgz http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fink/X420src-3.tgz but you can get the files from your favorite xfree86.org mirror. Just copy them to /sw and do 'fink install xfree86-rootless' (xfree86-base will be built and installed, too). Once you've got the xfree86 p ackages installed, you can install spice, and when you get the question about the virtual dependency type 3. -- Alexander K.
