I dont think its fink version: I updated it few days ago :

[mnl142:~] edufour% fink --version
Package manager version: 0.9.11
Distribution version: 0.4.0.cvs

furthermore I did a fink selfupdate-cvs (my version, was up to date, no
installation needed) and then I re-runned the update:

[mnl142:~] edufour% fink update libnessus-shlib-1.2.0-1
sudo /sw/bin/fink update libnessus-shlib-1.2.0-1
Reading package info...
Information about 970 packages read in 12 seconds.
pkg libnessus version shlib-1.2.0-1
Failed: no matching version found for libnessus

Isnt it in the package that there is some strange description ?
a non-legal '-' that is not understood ?

I dont know, Im lost.

However, now that I have done all easy updates, i will try once again
the difficult ones (those that did not work during the first try).
If you have no clue, just wait, after a while we will see if those
errors do not come from the same mis-configuration problem...

one of my MAIN update PROBLEMS is TOO LONG NAMES that appears truncated
in "fink list". Since the fink update seems to refuse wildcards in my
hands (no *, no ?) I cannot update these files with long names.
Is there a way to force wildcards or to have full filenames ?

Eric
