You have to make sure (and this is what system-xfree86 tries to check)
that your binary install of XFree86-4.2.0 is complete. In your case, you
seem to be missing the essential header file Xlib.h which is contained
in the binary tarball Xprog.tgz. Make sure that you did install this.

The system-xfree package has a version number of 4.2-something, but this
is not a problem. It works with XFree-4.2.0 as well.
