Hi!
Yesterday I made up my mind and went for a fink installation of Xfree86 4.2.
So, I manually removed my previous binary-installer version and tried to install the fink version:
1) sudo rm -r /usr/X11R6
2) sudo rm -r /etc/X11
3) sudo rm -r /Applications/XDarwin.app
4) fink install xfree86-base xfree86-rootless
However, after the first *.deb package is succesfully created, it cannot be installed because of the dependency problems with system-xfree86, which refuses to deinstall with "fink remove system-xfree86".
How can I force the deinstallation of this package? I know it is a stupid question, but I've already looked through the man pages for fink and dpkg, and I don't seem to be smart enough to find the answer.
Thanks in advance,
