Not sure on that one???  If it was me I would just remove it, and see 
what happens, but thats me :)

Fink recognizes anything installed by apt-get, just do a 'fink list' to 
see. :)

Even easier do 'sudo apt-get install windowmaker'

Then run the command 'wmaker.inst' and it  creates and sets up the 
.xinitrc automatically to use windowmaker, in the user's home dir.
