I recently installed Fink but am having a problem with my installation. Fink cannot update my package database, so Update fails. Typing sudo apt-get update results in the following (long) error message:

I tried removing my installation by deleting my entire sw directory and reinstalling Fink, but I get the same errors. I did not have any problem installing Fink 0.3.2a under OS X.1.2. This new installation is Fink 0.4.0 under OS X.1.5.
I can install packages, but my package database cannot be updated after the install.
Apparently I'm missing files. Should I create them manually? Any help would be appreciated.
