I'm having problems with xfree86 / fvwm2 / rxvt.

1/ in rootless mode, window coordinates are wrt top of screen, rather than
top of whatever-you-call-the-area-under-the-menubar
2/ I can't start rxvt or emacs anymore by "Exec rxvt" in the fvwm2rc;
starting them from Terminal.app works fine.

Anyway, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to abandon the unstable
releases for a while and go back to a stable one. Really "fink remove
xfree86", edit /sw/etc/fink.conf and reinstall? Or can I somehow install
specific earlier versions?
