Hi Ben,

>I have a brand spanking new Dual GHz G4 with 10.1.5 and I installed fink
>0.4.0a. I then opened a new terminal window and typed the lines that the
>web site told me to. Saved the file. Quit the terminal app, opened it up
>again, and "fink" dosen't work. to execute it I need to type "cd
>/sw/bin" [enter] "./fink"

I had the same problem after installation.
See if you have a .tcshrc in your home folder. If you do, that's it:
The .cshrc file is read only if tcsh doesn't find a .tcshrc...
Put the line about fink (source...) in this file, and remove the .cshrc.
Let us know how it is going...

Bonne chance,

Herv
