Hi. Im in the process of compiling and installing ffmpeg, to see if I will, for the first time since I first started using macs in 93 or so, be able to see AVIs easily.
I noticed two flags that caught my eye. -mpowerpc -g Does the first one have any noticeable impact on program speeds? Mathematical functions? Why is the second one used? Is it because ffmpeg is in unstable and a fink user might conceivably want to debug it?
