You want to create a customer xinit file. copy the xinit file from /usr/X11R6/etc/xinit/ like this
sudo cp /usr/X11R6/etc/xinit/xinitrc /User/your_name/.xinitrc After that edit that .xinitrc file. At the end of it you will see "start some nifty programs" ot something similar. You can edit that to launch the programs/window managers you want. startx and have fun jon On Friday, August 2, 2002, at 09:17 AM, Holger Schulz wrote: > How can I tell xfree86 to use a certain window manager after > installing it? > > hs > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek > Welcome to geek heaven. > http://thinkgeek.com/sf > _______________________________________________ > Fink-beginners mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
