Ctl-Click also emulates a right-click under OSX. Actually I think it's less of a problem with a laptop - I've always found using a touchpad a two-handed operation anyway.
Save your USB mouse from your Windows/Linux machine. Just plug & play on a TiBook. :-) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Benjamin Reed Sent: 12 August 2002 03:26 To: Rich Pinder Cc: fink beginners lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Fink-beginners] OS X newbie Rich Pinder [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] wrote: > Couple quick questions: > > 1) Should the current Fink binaries work ok with jaguar when it's > released ? If you never build anything from source, the answer is a resounding "maybe". =) Otherwise, very likely no. One of the big changes in Jaguar is the move to gcc 3.1, which is binary incompatible with C++ code built with gcc 2.95 (which came with previous OSX releases). So if you mix and match stuff between 10.1 and 10.2 you will likely have issues. > 2) One button mice ? (i'm gonna have to get used to this!). OSX allows you to hold down the mouse to emulate right-click, and in XFree86, there are key combinations to emulate middle and right click (which are configurable in XDarwin). -- Benjamin Reed a.k.a.
