What's is really missing there is a description of the anacrontab syntax.

But I found a link to /sw/share/doc/anacron/README.Fink

where I found the following (a bit surprising)

3) Add a line to /etc/crontab to run anacron at whatever schedule you
    would prefer. (Keep in mind that running anacron doesn't
    necessarily do anything; it merely checks to see if anything listed
    in /sw/etc/anacrontab is due to be run. If not, it just exits.

    As an example, if you wanted it to run once a day at 8.30 in the
    morning you would add the line:

If this means what i understand from it, I really do not understand what 
anacron is good for. To use anacron liek it is done it that example i 
have to ensure, that my machine is running at 8.30.

Elsewise my (ana)cronjobs won't be ran, again.

can anyone explain that to me??
