You still have to install fink's 'xemacs' package.

There is some possible confusion here, because xemacs-sumo claims to be 
"all xemacs packages together". Packages is understood here in the sense 
of xemacs packages like auctex, calc, gnus, and so on, not in the sense 
of fink packages. The principal fink package is 'xemacs', the others 
that you see with "fink list xemacs" are add-ons. Thus 'xemacs' plus 
'xemacs-sumo-pkg' gives you everything you can ever want with xemacs.
