Martin was kind enough to answer this question for me: >> I did a fink selfupdate and then an "update all" and got this message >> in the Terminal? Could anyone tell me what it means? My new question is: do I need to deinstall the xfree as installed and reinstall it from fink (if i want to do an update all in the future.) Being new to UNIX, I'd also like to know how i can delete JUST the binary xfree86 package before I reinstall it via fink (if indeed I need to do that.)
