So you are using the old stable release from April under Jaguar? You are 
probably in for some more unpleasant surprises. In the case of xfree86, 
it is (at least) the old xterm executable that won't run any more.

You might have more luck with the just-(about-to-be-)released 0.4.1 
binaries ("sudo apt-get update" should lead you there) which contain 
xfree86 version 4.2.0-12, although they still are meant for 10.1 and the 
recommended way of running fink on 10.2.1 is to compile everything from 
the sources. Read more about it on the fink web page.
