Fink 0.4.1 released
=====================

Fink 0.4.1 was officially released today. The source release and the binary installer are now available for download:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/

For more information about upgrading, visit the Upgrade Matrix:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/upgrade.php
or check out the User's Guide:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/users-guide/

The binary distribution is up to date already. If you miss something, just keep hitting "[U]pdate" in dselect. Or if you are using apt-get, run "sudo apt-get update".

With Fink 0.4.1, Mac OS X 10.1 is still the operating system of choice. In fact this will be the last full release of Fink to support 10.1. Mac OS X 10.2 is *NOT* supported with this release! If you are (like most Fink core developers) already running Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), please refer to http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/jaguar.php and http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/jag-bootstrap.php for information on how to test the Jaguar update. Binaries are NOT yet available for the Jaguar version of fink at this time, so you will need to build from source.

We are working towards a full (binary and source) Fink 0.5.0 release aimed at Mac OS X 10.2 currently. Stay tuned!

Happy updating,

Max
