I have received the following error several times with different
packages now, most recently with gnome-vfs:
curl -f -L -O
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gnome-vfs/1.0/gnome-vfs-
1.0.5.tar.gz

The checksum of the file gnome-vfs-1.0.5.tar.gz of package
gnome-vfs-1.0.5-5
is incorrect. The most likely cause for this is a corrupted or
incomplete
download. It is recommended that you download it again. How do you want
to
proceed?
(1) Give up
(2) Delete it and download again
(3) Assume it is a partial download and try to continue
(4) Don't download, use existing file
Is the package really corrupt or do I have a curl or perhaps a Perl 5.8
problem? Anybody have any ideas?
My Environment:
10.2.1
Perl 5.8 with XS modules re-compiled to eliminate undefined symbol
errors
Fink installed with clean install via bootstrap.sh
selfupdate set to update from cvs
unstable/amin and unstable/crypto added to end of library path in
fink.conf
I use DSL and have successfully installed and used fink packages for
several months and for a month on 10.2 until this started a few days
ago. I cannot identify anything in particular that could have corrupted
my installation which is why I am asking the group.
Thanks,
Daniel Lord
