First, thanks to Martin for pointing out my rookie mistake on the first install.
I since dld the Fink 0.11.0 archive and ran the bootstrap.sh routine. All seems to go well with PHASE ONE (the downloads of software). And the script begins PHASE TWO. During this portion of the install most of it appears to run fine until it gets to the Debian portion of the script. Then it comes to a line which reads: Dpkg-deb: building package 'bzip2' in /sw/fink/dists/local/bootstrap/binary-darwin-powerpc/bzip2_1.0.2-1_Darwin-po werpc.deb Then it comes up with a screen telling me I need to reboot my computer. There is no option to do anything else. After the Mac comes back up I try to pick up where I started, but all it tells me is that there is software already installed in "/sw". What is going on with this install? I know I am a rookie with this stuff, but I have read and reread the instructions and see nothing that I have missed. Any ideas?
