Hi Everyone,

I upgraded to Jaguar several weeks ago, and to 10.2.2 ~ 1 week ago. A few days ago, I upgraded my Fink installation to the unstable tree in hopes of better Jaguar compatibility (BTW, the thing I most wanted, plain old gnu-emacs 20.7-5, still gives me library errors at runtime.) I use the latest OroborOSX (0.8b2).

Roughly coincident with the Fink upgrade, I started experiencing a jumpy mouse cursor after the machine has been up for a while: annoying enough that it is difficult to work. This is not only when X has focus, but all the time, regardless of focus. I look at CPU and memory utilization and it looks fine: otherwise the machine does not become slow (it is a Dual 800 with 768 MB RAM). Closing everything does not help, nor does logging out. Rebooting puts it back to normal. It does not appear to be in response to any particular action. Indeed, it seems that after it has been sitting all day (or overnight), I'll sit down to do some work and find that the problem has reappeared.

I'm going to try not running X for a few days, and if that works, I'll try using a different window manager for a while to see if the problem is something in OroborOSX on 10.2.2/4.2.1.1.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this??

Best,
