[Fink-beginners] xemacs and 10.2

after upgrading to 10.2 and installing a new fink, i try installing xemacs and i get a horrific error "PANIC" message saying that the C compiler can no longer build working executables.

I tried running fix-fink but it says that all the dynamic libraries are OK.

this problem with xemacs comes after finding problems running gnuplot

(dyld: gnuplotx version mismatch for library: /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib (compatibility version of user: 6.0.0 greater than library's version 5.0.0)

running ghostview

dyld: gv can't open library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.7.dylib (no such file or directory, errno = 2)

and problems compiling xephem and gperiodic.

when i run gnumeric, it works, but i get error messages like

Gdk-Warning ** locale not supported by C library
**WARNING** Incomplete locale library, dates will be month day year

any ideas
