Sorry, a real newbie question. I've just installed the fink-0.5.0-full package. I'm 
now going to install xfree86. Should I install the threaded or non-threaded version? 
What's the difference (meaning I'm not really sure what threads are and if they are 
important, do they have something to do with the code for a program making better use 
of multiple processors?).  I plan to install arb, but not matlab, and perhaps kde if 
it works.

Any suggestions?
