Okay, so I just installed Fink. Yea for me. Two problems so far.
The documentation states "To make the software installed by Fink
available in all of your shells, add 'source /sw/bin/init.csh' to the
init script '.cshrc' in your home directory." There was no '.cshrc'
file in my home directory, or anywhere else on the system (as far as I
can tell). I created a file named '.cshrc' using Pico with the
specified line included and saved it to my home directory, but I still
can't use Fink in any other Terminal window other than the one I used
to install it. How can I make Fink work in all Terminal windows?
Second, so I try to use Fink using 'fink list', which shows me 18
packages. I installed Fink so I could install Freetype2, which isn't
listed. I use 'fink list freetype' and "fink list 'freetype*'", both of
which return "Information about 18 packages read in 0 seconds." and
that's it. Am I using the software wrong? How can I get Fink to install
Freetype2 on my system?
P.S. I'm running Mac OS X 10.2.2 and Fink Package manager version:
0.11.0
Thanks
