Looking at Process Viewer, I can see processes like Gnumake, cc1, and Perl getting created, running, and disappearing. So am I correct in believing that my installation is still running?

I"m afraid that the installer's gonna ask me a question later. How can I regain the ability to see that hypothetical question?

I might not be asking this correctly, but I believe I want to reconnect the terminal with the relevant process. How do I figure out which process and how do I reconnect them?

More serioulsly, I doubt you can reconnect processes...
Better restart your installation on a brand new session... :-\
