[Fink-beginners] Cannot install freetype

I am trying to install imagemagick and perlmagick. These require freetype as a dependancy. After I agree with the instructions with fink install imagemagick it starts to compile ending in these errors:

restFP
saveFP
/usr/bin/libtool: internal link edit command failed
make: *** [/sw/src/freetype2-hinting-2.0.9-1/freetype-2.0.9/objs/libfreetype.la] Error 1
### execution of failed, exit code 2
Failed: compiling freetype2-hinting-2.0.9-1 failed

I have just installed fink on a 10.2.2 system (Imac). I successfully installed gimp. What is wrong?

The latest version of XFree86Complete-4.2-10.2 is installed and I can launch The Gimp.
