I have just installed fink on my brand new G4 Powerbook. The first

g77: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or directory

Is there some package that is missing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Matthew
as is the assembler needed by any compiler. It should be found in /usr/bin. It comes with the Apple Developer tools. Do you have them installed? Otherwise check that /usr/bin is in your PATH.

Cheers,
