[Fink-beginners] Newbie Questions

Hello,

Seasons Greetings

I am a total newbie here...

I have a 500MHz G4 Power Mac running Jaguar.

I want to start using the BSD core in addition to my
wonderful OS X applications. I have used Linux in
the past to download stuff and build it.

I'd like to get set up with a C compiler and other tools.

Also, I'd like to be able to build some cross compilers
etc for my hobbyist projects.

Where do I start?
