If there is no /sw/bin in the list that is shown, you need to have another look at your shell startup scripts. Maybe you have some other script that runs after .[t]cshrc and that resets the PATH?

If there is /sw/bin in there, then maybe you just needed to start a new shell (new Terminal window) or simply to type "rehash". If this still doesn't help, then maybe you don't have the /sw/bin/fink executable?
