Dear all,
This question is related to Fink, although indirectly.
When I install a Fink package (say via FinkCommander) is it possible to
change default Path?
As far as I know, Fink looks in /sw, but the default search path also
looks in /usr/local (I think).
That is true even if I don't put /usr/local in my .tcshrc path
variable...
So if I have 'dirty' things in there, they might interfere with the
install?
I'm thinking of dlcompat libs such as those proposed by Dr Fujii, that
install in the /usr/local area.
There are a lot of those rpm tar ball going there...
Obviously I could rename /usr/local to /usr/local2 during the install,
as suggested by Martin Costabel in a previous mail, but is there
another option?
Thanks
Manuel
