Well, I fixed that silly problem I was having, and my computer's startup time can now be measure in seconds and not minutes. =)
In trying to fix things, I'd removed parts of fink. I've just installed fink 0.5. How can I merge my old /sw/ (now called /sw3/) with my new one and have fink know about everything I've installed?
What you can do is reinstall the packages that you compiled yourself from their *.deb files (assuming they were compiled under OSX 10.2):
sudo dpkg -i /sw3/fink/dists/*stable/main/*/binary-darwin-powerpc/*/*.deb
