[Fink-beginners] g77 ran() problem?

To whomever this finds:

When compiling a FORTRAN 77 program that I know works,
it seems to choke at the point where I use the ran() command
to generate a random number.

I've installed g77 using fink on Mac OS X (10.2) and suspect that
I may be missing something.

Can anyone help me out?
