Yes, I already have those things in my environment, but I'm still getting those errors about jpeg and png. It occurred to me that although I have these things in my environment, root doesn't necessarily, partly because I don't know where a .tcshrc for root should go. I have tried manually setting the env vars while working as su, but makes no difference. In the configure output I can see that it's looking in /sw/include and /sw/lib etc. But at the moment with for example --with-gd it's failing with a libjpeg.(a|so) not found, even though libjpeg.a is right there in /sw/lib (installed with fink). Any other ideas?
