Dear all,

I need to port a code from Linux to OsX.
It's a huge monte carlo code (Geant).
I know that gcc 2.95 worked (at least the code was built and seemed to work) on other Macs.
Trouble is that I use Fink packages a lot (dlcompat being one example, but g77 as well, clhep, etc...).
Those Fink packages have been compiled with gcc 3.1.
If I change the default compiler - or just switch to gcc 2.95 for a while - will my Fink packages work?
clhep is a High Energy Physics library, used a lot in Geant. If clhep has been compiled/built with gcc 3.1, will it be possible to use it for building Geant with gcc 2.95?

Thank you for help/advices,

Manuel
