Thanks!

On one of my machines I now have some mixture and several applications that will no longer run without crashing. I have yet to find out what to recompile to make them work again. All very confusing right now.
Does fink "know" which bits to re-build if such a change is made? Is there a known list?
As Alexander says, you cannot tell from a binary against which libraries it was compiled, and often it is not even the binary itself that has undefined symbols, but some library loaded by some library loaded by the binary etc.
