Please listen to the experts before listening to me, but I'm fairly
confident in my answer:
In order to install binaries as an administrator, use the sudo command.
For example,
sudo dselect
sudo should then ask you for your administrator password.
The next major problem you might encounter is if your user-account is not
on the "sudoers" list, the list of accounts allowed to use sudo. I don't
yet know how to add an account to that list, but it's probably trivial
once you know where the list is.
If you know the admin password, then you might want to just log in as the
administrator and use fink (or dselect) from there. Perhaps that's too
inconvenient, however.
