Phil,

-- Phil Lavigna <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is rumored to have mumbled on Sonntag, 2. Februar 2003 20:54 Uhr -0800 regarding [Fink-beginners] Fun with Fink updates:

I've added several new chapters to the "Fun with Fink" documentation.
Twenty chapters (almost 200 pages) are available for download & review. I
would greatly appreciate any feedback such as corrections, suggestions
for improvement, etc. I rarely receive any.

I hope you haven't given up due to lack of comments. I just didn't find the time to look at your work until now. I'll write my comments in bits and pieces as I encounter pages that I feel need improvement. Altogether I think this is a great effort!

Page 11: Even though it may seem repetitive I think you should replace all instances of just "system" with "Fink system". the /sw/lib directory does not contain "shared libraries which are required by system programs" in the way some users might interpret this. The Mac OS X system is entirely unaffected by the /sw files. This point should be stressed.

In the same vein you shouldn't refer to the /sw/bin directory as the /bin directory.

Greetings, Sebastian
