There are known issues between Virex 7.2 and fink.  Check out the item on
the fink page (http://fink.sourceforge.net)

Basically, the problem is that the Virex developers used some libraries
that one can build through fink, and these have to be in /sw for Virex to
work.

Unfortunately, the presence of a /sw directory makes the fink binary
installer unhappy.

My suggestion would be to uninstall Virex, install fink, and then
reinstall Virex:  its installer doesn't care about a pre-existing /sw .
