I installed fink 0.5.1 and fink comander
0.5.0 as described in the readme. I have MacOS X 10.2.4, X 11 beta 3,
and the developper tools installed. When I try to install a binary
package, I have the following error after fink has downloaded it
:
dpkg: `update-rc.d' not found on PATH.
dpkg: 1 expected program(s) not found on PATH.
NB: root's PATH should usually contain /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin and /sbin.
E: Sub-process /sw/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
Note that I have run fink once without pb before a crash (I
installed gimp - but I didn't try it at the time, just before the
crash). After the crash, I have been obliged to do a clean install of
all my system (I had a pb wich I couldn't solve), and I re-installed
fink, etc... Since that, it doesn't work.
NB : because of the line "NB: root's
PATH should usually contain /usr/local/sbin, /usr/sbin and
/sbin.", I tried to have a look at these folders. I unhide
them with tinkertool, and I saw /sbin, /usr/sbin, but not
/usr/local/sbin. I also tried to re-install my system (and fink), but
I still have the pb...
Thank you very much if you can help me !
